BIOGRAPHY


Guy Simpson is a visual artist based in Cape Town, focused on conveying sculptural forms and casual drawings using cartoon tropes as a visual springboard, framing them as multi-layered sculptures and the inaccessible as delicate drawings. Currently, Simpson’s process is an investigation into the synchronicity of place and time, keeping the works approachable yet cheeky - so as to uplift small truths from within the giant-ness of changing life, and so an ability to ‘take part' becomes a lot more dauntless and fun.
