French designer Philippe Starck has garnered an inimitable career worldwide; beginning with the Parisian night club scene in the 1970s. Known for employing a subversive attitude in his work, Starck pioneered transparent materials as wholly relevant for furniture design, while simultaneously re-imagining the relationship by combining unusual materials such as polyurethane, wood and steel for the context of aesthetics.
